About the association
Founded to open doors
A non-governmental, non-profit association founded for an indefinite term, based in Belgrade and active across the whole of the Republic of Serbia.
Mission
So that a path into aviation does not depend on who you know
Aviation is a demanding profession with clear standards. But the road to those standards is not equally open to everyone. News of an open call, advice at the right moment, or a recommendation from someone who has walked the same path often decide more than they should.
The Center for Women in Aviation of Serbia exists to even that out. We bring together women from every aviation profession, share knowledge and information, and build a network that is also open to those who so far have had no one to ask.
We work in the other direction too: preserving the legacy of those who flew first, and making sure their names stay part of public memory.

Founding
Founding assembly, 4 August 2026
The founding assembly was held on 4 August 2026 in Belgrade, at Bežanijska 55. All founders were present. They unanimously adopted the founding act and the Statute of the association, and then elected its governing bodies.
The association was founded in accordance with the Law on Associations of the Republic of Serbia and entered into the Register of Associations kept by the Business Registers Agency.

Leadership
Who leads the association
The term of office of the governing bodies is four years, with the possibility of re-election.

Vice-president of the association
Deputises for the president, coordinates councils and sections, and oversees delivery of programmes and projects.
Marina Ćirić
Secretary of the association
Handles administrative and organisational affairs, membership records and minutes of the governing bodies.
Organisation
Governing bodies
Assembly
Made up of all members of the association. Meets at least once a year. It adopts the Statute, the work plan and programme, the financial plan and the annual accounts, elects and dismisses the president of the Assembly and the president of the association, and decides on joining alliances at home and abroad.
Management Board
The executive body, five members, four-year term. It implements decisions of the Assembly, runs the association between sessions, decides on admission and termination of membership, launches projects and manages finances.
President
Legal representative of the association, four-year term. Leads its work, organises regular activities, and holds the rights and duties of the financial authorising officer.
Vice-president
Assists the president and deputises in her absence, including signing financial documents. Coordinates the work of councils and sections across fields of activity.
Secretary
Handles administrative, organisational and technical affairs, membership records and the archive, and provides administrative support to all governing bodies.
Working bodies
The association may establish standing or temporary working bodies, councils, committees and sections. The Management Board decides on their establishment and remit.
Transparency
The work of the association is public
The president ensures that members and the public are kept regularly informed about the work and activities of the association, directly or through statements and publications. Annual accounts and activity reports are presented to members at the Assembly session.
Sources of funding
The association raises funds from membership fees, voluntary contributions, donations and gifts, financial subsidies, registration fees for seminars and other forms of education, and by other means permitted by law.
